Rules
Version 2026-06-04 · Effective from June 04, 2026
These rules govern participation in Trova il Tesoro treasure hunts. By taking part, you fully accept the rules described here.
Nature of the contest
Trova il Tesoro is a pure skill contest: the first to complete the chain of stages wins, based on skill and speed. There is no draw and no element of luck in awarding the prize.
Eligibility
Participation is reserved for adults (18 or older) with a valid account and truthful data. Each person may have only one account.
Entry and fee
Entering a hunt requires paying a participation fee of €10. The fee grants the right to participate; the clues provided are transparent aids, equal for all participants.
How to win
The first participant to validly register all stages of the hunt in the required order, completing the chain, wins. A stage is valid only if registered on site using the required verification methods (NFC tag, GPS location and selfie).
Tie-break
In case of close times, ranking is determined deterministically by the completion time of the last stage and, in case of a tie, by the registration identifier. No outcome is left to chance.
Fair play and disqualification
Falsifying location, using inauthentic selfies, tampering with tags and any form of deception are forbidden. Violations lead to disqualification; in that case the winner is recalculated automatically in favour of the next valid participant.
Prize and delivery
The hunt prize is shown on the relevant page. It is awarded after the organisation verifies the completion evidence; delivery is subject to confirmation of the winner.
Tax obligations
Any taxes, duties or reporting obligations relating to the prize are the winner's responsibility, under applicable law.
Data processing
Participation requires a selfie at each stage, stored privately and used solely to verify the contest, deletable on request. The legal basis for processing is the performance of the participation contract.
Limitation of liability
The search takes place in the field and under the participant's responsibility, who must act prudently and respect places and rules. The organisation is not liable for force majeure or participants' negligent conduct.
Changes to the rules
The rules are versioned. In case of substantial changes, a new acceptance will be required before continuing to participate.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These rules are governed by Italian law. Any dispute is subject to the court of the consumer's place of residence, where provided by applicable law.
